Meet the Directors
Jane Aster Roe
Jane Aster Roe is a multimedia writer, producer, and storyteller. As the founder and director of Aster Roe Productions, she has helped to facilitate the production of several award winning theatrical productions, short films, and has multiple long form series in development and production.

Jane has experience working across all platforms and budgets from small indie houses to bigger companies like CBC. She has trained with Sundance and the New York Times, and is driven by her own experiences and innate curiosity about human nature. Through her work Jane strives to tell unknown stories and tell familiar stories through new lenses.

Rachel Arundel
With 14+ years in industry Rachel has built a diverse career within Film, Television and Advertising in Canada, New Zealand and the UK. She is skilled at finding creative opportunities and connecting dots, whether as a Creative Producer, Strategist, Field Producer or First Assistant Director, working across factual and scripted content for broadcasters with global reach.
Rachel is known for her boundless enthusiasm and has worked across shows such as Gold Rush (Discovery) Gangland Chronicles (History) Invesigation Shark Attack (National Geographic) and the Horror of Dolores Roach (Spotify & Amazon MGM Studios). She has also developed interactive experiences and creative campaigns for brands such as Netfix, Youtube and Education New Zealand.
